GO CR Fat Sac & Fox Enduro Ride

Join us at the 2nd Annual GO CR Fat Sac & Fox Enduro Ride in Cedar Rapids on December 8-9!

This year's two day event will include an interactive night ride, bicycle expo, raffle and a three hour endurance ride. Events kick off Friday, December 8 with registration and an interactive night ride beginning at 7 p.m. that will take riders to areas not part of the normal trail system. Along the way, riders will make pit stops at several Cedar Rapids locations for food, drink and fun.

Saturday's events take place at Indian Creek Nature Center, 5300 Otis Rd, Cedar Rapids, beginning with the expo of local bike shops opening at 10 a.m. A Specialized Fatboy SE Fat Bike (MSRP $1400) will be raffled off during the events. Attendees will be able to enjoy lunch at multiple onsite food vendors beginning at noon, which is also when the Enduro Ride begins. Registration is now open for individuals and teams. The public is welcome to attend and view the race at no charge.

The enduro ride will take place on a 3.75 mile course using parts of the Sac & Fox Trail. Individual and team riders will bike as many laps as possible in the three hour race. An after party will take place at Indian Creek Nature Center following the race, where winners will be awarded in both individual and team categories.

Fat Bike rentals are available at Hall Bicycle and Goldfinch Cyclery in Cedar Rapids.

Registration information, tickets, merchandise and raffle tickets along with host hotel information and rates are all available through the event website: GOCRFatBike.com.

2017-2018

Our indoor classes are for cyclists of all interests and abilities. When you are riding on a trainer, you can’t get dropped! You can make the workout as hard or as leisurely as you wish.  Our instructors are all avid cyclists, racers and triathletes who volunteer their time, effort and talents to allow us to ride our own bikes indoors.

Indoor cycling classes will start on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 6:00 pm.

House Rules:
  1. ALL TRAINERS MUST BE ON MATS. The mats owned by North Iowa Spin are already laid out. We encourage you to bring your own mat if you have one. If there is a mat lying where you would like to set up, simply remove the mat and replace with yours. If you don’t bring a mat, you will need to rent one of NI Spin’s.
  2. If you are uncertain as to whether you want to commit to a season pass, purchase a day pass or a five-punch ticket. If you decide to go further, the money you’ve paid will be credited toward a season pass.
  3. SKEWER (the rod threaded on one end and with a lever operated cam assembly on the other). The skewer in your rear wheel may not be appropriate for a trainer. The wrong skewer may cause your bike to separate from the trainer resulting in injury or damage to your bike.  If you are not sure, please ask one of the leaders. Skewers will be available for purchase at $15.00.
1 The time change from 6:30 to 6:00 pm for the T-Th class was due to a schedule conflict with the Mason’s schedule requiring us to keep the music at a low level on those designated evenings. Plus, a single class time will keep it simple for everyone.

2 Mats required for all bikes.
